OHSU on-demand buprenorphine clinic maintains virtual model

OHSU opened a walk-in clinic in 2019 to provide easy access for people seeking medication to treat opioid use disorder. The COVID-19 pandemic forced the HRBR clinic to switch to virtual-only service, and a newly published study indicates that many patients prefer it. Since switching to a remote-care model, the clinic has provided care to people in 32 of Oregon’s 36 counties. (OHSU)

OHSU researchers working on teen suicide prevention

As teen suicide rates continue to rise, OHSU researchers have teamed up with the semiconductor company Analog Devices, Inc., or ADI, to develop a smartwatch that will act as an early detection system for teenagers suffering from suicidality. (OHSU/Christine Torres Hicks)
