TKA: Posterior-stabilized bearing design ups revision risk

MD Edge covers a new OHSU study that finds the use of posterior-stabilized bearings may increase risk in total knee arthroplasty; principal investigator Ryland Kagan, M.D., says: “The difference isn’t dramatic, but when you think of the total number of total knee arthroplasties done, you’re talking about millions of procedures. Even with a small increased risk, you’re going to see a large influence for a population.”
