Jennifer Jahncke, Ph.D., a postdoctoral scholar working in the lab of Kevin Wright, Ph.D., has discovered a protein that provides insights into the neurological problems experienced by people with a rare form of muscular dystrophy known as dystroglycanopathy. This image is of a Purkinje neuron (in red) – the business end of the cerebellum. The green dots are showing inhibitory synapses on the Purkinje neuron.
